Greetings.As a commercial photographer I was getting sick of this DIY Photo Booth market. So I've spent the past 2 years prototyping different products to combine to make a reliable product to take to market. While doing this we built a company that would let our products be tested in the real world.
This is my first time posting for CADCrowd so we will be as detailed as possible, if you need any more info please leave a public message or send me a private message.
What we are looking for:
We want to build a product that is innovative, stylish, light weight, collapsable yet durable. We are sick of seeing Boxes. We want a unit that is free standing and curtain-less. I would love a stainless steel or aluminum face, but are open to other ideas. We don't want the end product to break the bank when it comes to manufacturing so would like materials to be widely available.
Height - We would like the unit to be at its tallest 70" would like it to have removable sections so hight could vary.
Free standing
Collapsable/mobile - END GOAL would love for the entire unit to break down in to ONE 1650 Pelican Case.
Simply assembly - would like this process to go quick, maybe pins/magnets/dovetails maybe power integration from base to components.
Durable - This unit will be on the go, seeing 50-60 party's a year, thats 10,000 - 50,000 potentially drunk people a year and would love to get at least 5 years from it.
Stream line - think of apples clean cut designs, would love for it to feel simple, not threatening.
Products: Specs Available online or upon request.
HITI 510L Printer - needs side access for paper and ink, can only print on a angle of up to 30 degrees, would love for paper to come out on the front under/lower then the screen. the printer can be removable or bolted to unit. (consider break down)
Windows surface tablet - needs to be accessible for touch screen, needs to be mounted flush or minimal clearance for clean design. needs access to power and usb ports from the back.
Camera - standard DSLR camera. would like to have a 77mm UV filter mounted for the camera to touch up against. a dovetail plate would be great to let the camera move back and forth for different lens (up to 8" of slide)
Lights - would like to place LED's and a flash tube on either side of the camera so we will need holes and diffusion plexi/plastic for this as well. we will most lily be making our own boards to mount so there aren't any specs on this yet.
Adjustable angle mount - would like it if the tablet/camera/light were mounted together with a potential of up to 20 degree horizontal tilt. (consider whats behind the faceplate, don't want gaps where fingers can get caught.
I hope this sums up needs and wants. I will include a quick sketch of our ideas to maybe fuel your inspiration.

What every one else has. I want new ideas. I don't want gig cases that snap together.

UPDATE:We only want to produce something thats original, please see scan of idea. We want it to be a free standing structure, don't worry about backgrounds, people will stand in front of it, with the horizontal tilt the camera can adjust size.
I don't want a box. What is a box? and object that has 4 sides and 4 - 90 degree angles. We want original creative ideas along the concepts ideas presented in the quick sketch.

Tommy, You are correct in thinking that the face of the lens would always be flush. if we could have a ring inserter like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/387404-REG/Cokin_CZ477_77mm_Z_PRO_Adapter_Ring.html we could then step the lens down with rings depending on the size of the face...
A dovetail rail and plate for the camera to mount to would be ideal, this would be easy to manufacture with the unit.
The cameras will be canon eos rebels. The standard is a 1/4 20 hole dead centre to the lens on any camera.

With the camera sliding up to 8 inches would this be to accommodate a lens. As in, would the lens always be flush if the camera were behind a panel
Hi, Could you please post some specs on the camera regarding dimensions and potential mounting hardware present on the camera in the way of tri-pod mounts that could be used to mount it.
Commenters. Thank you, But I'm not looking for a BOX solution, also we require this hard wear SPEC. I'm looking for new ideas, not something thats already been done. We have seen the market and what is offered and its not the right fit, there go why we are here.

I have not use any of those boxed booths, and I am dubious on what people looks for in those stands. Are they looking for fun doing funny faces and acting kinda crazy? or are they looking for fixing the moment with a friend? a formal photograph to include in a CV?
A monolith like the ones shown in 2001 space oddisey may be very cool but at the same time not discrete.
You are talking about one (quite expensive) digital single-lens reflex camera. Why aren't you considering many cheap cameras like the ones in phones and laptops taking various continuing stream of images from various angles at once? The customer may choose later some photos from the films taken, after viewing the results.
What about the background?

Telescopic Mechanism
Telescoping tube assembly design needed: (be sure to view attached drawings)
Specifications necessary:
1) Total weight = 750 grams
2) Extended length = 83cm
3) Collapsed length = 37cm
4) Outside thickness of retractable sections = 16mm max
5) Width = 36mm max
Handle to have 3 telescoping sections, approx. 37cm long each
Bottom and Middle Telescoping sections to be readily available standard sizes of flat side oval aluminum tubing or rectangular tubing in sizes that are commercially available. Top to be solid and custom machined.
Middle section to lock into locked extended position and unlock in retracted position automatically by means of a button spring snap activated by top section when collapsing the handle. (see drawing)
Top section to have positive lock that automatically locks into extended position when extended due to the spring action. (see drawing)
Top section to unlock by means of rotating knurled thumb nut on slider at the top of the top section to release the latching mechanism. (see drawing)
Top section to have means of attaching a pull hand grip.
No plastic parts to be used.

Portable Field Stand
Design a field stand for our Control Panel & Battery Box.
We field-deploy a portable equipment assembly at temporary pumping and water-monitoring sites (bypass pumping, lift stations, streambank pump setups, etc.). Each site needs a control cabinet, a battery box, and a cell/antenna mast set up quickly, then broken down and moved to the next site. We're looking for a new stand or frame to secure and hold this equipment in place at the site — this is NOT a carrying case or transport container for the equipment. The stand does still need to break down into portable pieces for transport between sites, and no single piece of it can weigh more than 50 lbs, but once assembled on site it needs to robustly and securely hold everything in place. Our current solution isn't working, and we want fresh design concepts from this challenge. Bonus points if your design incorporates wheels so it can be hand-trucked across terrain.
The core pieces of equipment the stand needs to secure in place are:
• A battery box — a Pelican 1630NF Protector Transport Case (see dimensions and reference photos below). It's heavy, so it currently doubles as ballast and sits low in the assembly to help anchor the center of gravity.
• An LCU controller cabinet — a Saginaw Control & Engineering (SCE) SCE-2424PC polycarbonate enclosure (see dimensions and reference photos below).
• A toolbox that houses a Starlink modem and electrical plugs. Incorporating this third box into the stand would be nice to have, but it's not required.
Two masts also need to be incorporated into the design: the existing cell antenna mast, which carries 2–4 Wilson directional wideband antennas at the top and creates significant sail area (wind load) that the stand needs to resist, and a second mast/pole holder for a Starlink dish. We currently use cinder blocks for supplemental ballast weight, feel free to accommodate their use into the design, if needed.
Equipment Dimensions:
Battery Box — Pelican 1630NF Protector Transport Case
Width 24.25 in, Depth 17.5 in, Length (height) 31.3 in
Notes: Heavy — typically used low in the assembly as ballast / low center of gravity. Has an integrated telescoping handle and wheels on the case itself.
Controller Cabinet — Saginaw SCE-2424PC
Height 25.4 in, Width 26.68 in, Depth 11.41 in
Notes: Polycarbonate enclosure; front-facing connectors/glands along one side (see drawing photo). Top and bottom of enclosure have a lip flange with bolt holes that can be used to secure a secondary frame (strut channel, etc)
Toolbox — Starlink Modem / Electrical Plugs (nice-to-have) A third plastic box, roughly similar in scale to the battery box, housing a Starlink modem and electrical plugs. Exact dimensions can be provided if a designer wants to incorporate it — treat it as optional for concept purposes.
Antenna Masts (two required) Cell antenna mast: vertical pole supporting 2–4 Wilson directional wideband antennas at the top. Exact pole diameter/height varies by site — designers should treat this as a mounting interface (e.g., a pipe clamp, mast collar, or bracket sized to a standard pipe OD) rather than a fixed dimension, and call out their assumed pole size in their submission. Starlink mast: a second, separate mast/pole holder to mount a standard or mini Starlink dish using the Starlink pole mount adapter. Same approach applies — treat as a mounting interface rather than a fixed dimension.
Must-Have Requirements
• One-person deployable: no single piece/component of the stand may weigh more than 50 lbs, and it must be liftable, positionable, and assembled on site by a single field technician without assistance. (Note: this is a stand that secures the equipment in place at the site — not a case or container that carries the equipment during transport.)
• Must securely hold both: – The Pelican 1630NF battery box (24.25″ W x 17.5″ D x 31.3″ L) – The Saginaw SCE-2424PC controller cabinet (25.4″ H x 26.68″ W x 11.41″ D)
• Must incorporate mounts/interfaces for two masts — the existing cell antenna mast (carrying 2–4 Wilson directional wideband antennas) and a second, separate mast/pole holder for a Starlink dish — and must remain stable under the combined wind (sail) load of both.
• Both the controller cabinet and the battery box must be elevated a minimum of approximately 6 inches off the ground to protect against flooding/standing water — while still keeping the battery box mounted as low as practical on the frame to preserve a low center of gravity and overall stability.
• Must be compatible with standard cinder blocks as supplemental ballast at the base (we already have these on hand and can continue using them if the design benefits from added weight/anchoring).
• Must break down, fold, or disassemble easily for transport and storage — this is the main failure of our current stand.
• Must include a way to organize excess cabling — e.g., S-hooks or similar points to hang coiled extension cord, pump cable, flowmeter cable, valve cable, and other site cabling — rather than leaving it loose on the ground.
• Must hold up to outdoor field conditions: rain, mud, sun, and unimproved ground (grass, gravel, streambank, dirt pads).
• Must look clean and professional at customer/field sites — this is a customer-facing appearance concern, not just function.
Nice-to-Have Features
• Tool-free or minimal-tool assembly and breakdown in the field.
• Wheels, so the assembled stand can be moved into place with a hand truck/dolly.
• Adjustable mast height or tilt-down mast for easier antenna installation/service at height. • Space or mounting to incorporate a third box — a toolbox housing a Starlink modem and electrical plugs — into the assembly (not required).
• Compact folded/stored footprint for transport in a truck bed or trailer.

Ship to Ship Loading - CAD freelancer to design schematic diagram

The video is of two ships, side by side with a spacer barge in the middle. The smaller ship is loading the larger ship with a conveyor belt. At 1.03 seconds into the video, you will see a drawing. That's the type of drawing I want. But mine will have measurements of both vessels, the spacer barge, conveyor belt length and angle. I will provide all measurements.
