Description:
I need a CAD designer to create a custom hood and front fenders for a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that has been converted to use the front-end components from a Cadillac Escalade.

I have already installed the OEM Escalade grille, headlights, and bumper onto the Silverado using retrofit brackets. The remaining problem is that the original Silverado hood and fenders no longer align correctly with the new Escalade front-end components.

The goal is to create “hybrid” OEM-style panels:

The hood and fenders should remain approximately 80–90% Silverado.
Only the front portion (approximately 2 inches from the front edge) should be modified to match the Escalade styling and alignment.
The inner hood structure, latch location, hinge locations, and all mounting points must remain 100% OEM Silverado.
The fenders must also retain their original Silverado mounting points and wheel arch shape.

I will provide:

3D CAD scans of the OEM Silverado hood and fenders
3D CAD scans of the OEM Escalade hood and fenders/front-end components
3D CAD scans of the partially converted Silverado with the Escalade bumper, grille, and headlights already installed

Deliverables:

Final 3D CAD model of the custom hood
Final 3D CAD model of the left and right custom fenders
Clear indication of which areas remain Silverado and which areas are adapted from the Escalade
Files suitable for future manufacturing or mold creation
Wants:
Accuracy of fit to the supplied Silverado and Escalade scans
Retention of all OEM Silverado mounting points and hood latch/hinge geometry
Smooth and realistic transition between Silverado and Escalade surfaces
OEM-quality appearance
Clean, organized CAD modeling
Ability to provide editable source files
Don't Wants:
Completely custom aftermarket styling
Changes to the inner hood structure or mounting locations
A full Escalade hood simply resized to fit
Designs that require relocating hinges, latch points, or fender mounting points
Exaggerated body lines, scoops, vents, or non-OEM styling
Low-detail or rough surface models that cannot be manufactured
Ask for Sample:
Please provide one or more of the following: Examples of previous automotive body panel or vehicle conversion CAD work Examples of surface modeling or hybrid OEM panel projects A quick sketch or concept image showing how you would combine the Silverado and Escalade hood front sections Confirmation that you can work from 3D scan data and maintain OEM mounting geometry
Software:
  1. SolidWorks Autodesk Fusion 360 CATIA Siemens NX (STEP, IGES, and native source files)

Hello,

As an automotive systems engineer with extensive experience in vehicle component retrofitting and body integration, I understand the requirements for this project. Customizing a Silverado hood and Escalade fenders requires more than just aesthetics; a fit, continuity of surfaces and manufacturing feasibility.
My background in CAD software allows me to accurately deliver designs that are not only visually appealing but also ready for production or prototyping. I am confident in my ability to interpret your vision and ensure it integrates seamlessly with the existing chassis. I'm ready to start right away; let's give life to this design
cordial greetings

Hello,
I can create the custom hybrid hood and front fenders for your 2014 Silverado with the Escalade front‑end conversion. I’m a BIW/exterior design engineer at Nissan, experienced in OEM‑level surface modeling, scan‑to‑CAD, and maintaining factory mounting geometry.
I can work directly from your 3D scans in Siemens NX and blend the Silverado panels with the Escalade front section while keeping all OEM Silverado mounting points, latch/hinge locations, and inner structures unchanged. The final models will be clean, accurate, and suitable for manufacturing or mold creation.
I can also provide a quick concept sketch or sample of previous body‑panel work if needed.
Best regards,
Hoan

Hi Joseph, I am a CNC operator and 3D designer. I see exactly what needs to be done. I will keep the Silverado mounting points for the hood and fenders 100% original so they bolt right on, but I'll fix that front 'misalignment' with the Escalade face. I'm waiting for the scan files to show you what I can do!

Hi,

this is a very interesting project and a great fit for my background.

I have solid experience in automotive surface modeling and reverse engineering from 3D scan data. Working with OEM geometry and maintaining all mounting points, hinge and latch positions is no problem.

I’m confident I can achieve a clean OEM-quality result with a smooth and realistic transition between Silverado and Escalade surfaces.

I would handle the project in Siemens NX and deliver clean, well-structured CAD data suitable for further manufacturing or tooling.

Happy to take a look at your data and discuss the details.

Best,
Daniel

Ship to Ship Loading - CAD freelancer to design schematic diagram
You will design a schematic diagram that shows a ship to ship loading using a conveyor belt. View this video on vimeo to get an idea of what I am trying to convey. http://vimeo.com/16217538 The video is of two ships, side by side with a spacer barge in the middle. The smaller ship is loading the larger ship with a conveyor belt. At 1.03 seconds into the video, you will see a drawing. That's the type of drawing I want. But mine will have measurements of both vessels, the spacer barge, conveyor belt length and angle. I will provide all measurements. See attached pdf for they type of drawings. The attached sample will give you an idea of the type of measurements I need on the drawing.

Luxury and Minimalist Ballpoint Pen
Please submit a CAD design for luxury and minimalist ballpoint pen. Quality, originality, and craftsmanship matters to us. We want the luxury ballpoint pen to have a retractable, twist-action mechanism. We also want the ballpoint pen to be refillable, using a popular pen ink that can be bought at any major retail store. We also want the pen to have the brand name logo (either placed on the pen clip or somewhere on the pen). Attached is the AI file for the logo. These words describe the pen style: Luxury, Business, Sophisticated, Unique, Minimalist. You must provide the following: *Your CAD file for the ballpoint pen. *Product specifications: dimensions/size, colors, and weight. *Your preferred materials (leather, wood, aluminum, resin, stainless steel, brass, palladium, etc.) and finish for the design. *Logo placed on the pen clip or somewhere on the pen (Logo AI file attached). *Would love to see the following color variations of the same design: 1) black 2)silver/steel 3)rose gold
Gym Equipment Design
We are trying to create a new piece of gym equipment. Please view the images for an example. Important Aspects: - Bench has the option to Rotate Horizontally (Axel Attached) - Bench can be locked into Position so that it doesn't rotate - Height Adjustable from 6 various heights using 2.5cm increments - Lowest Height 37.5cm (Measured from Floor) - Tallest Height 50cm (Measured from Floor) - Rubber Foot Attachments (Prevent Sliding) - Easily Disassembled into 6 Pieces The exercises that it will be used to perform: - Hip Thrusts (Bench Rotation Required) - Bulgarian Split Squats (Bench Rotation Required) - Box Squats (Rotation NOT Required) - Step Ups (Rotation NOT Required) This video provides an example of a similar piece of equipment: https://vimeo.com/208091402 Our Key differences: - Easily Transportable - Bench (Rectangular Cushion instead of Foam Cylinder) - Option to Lock Seat (so it doesn't rotate)
