Competition Concept

We are looking for a durable, high load-capacity, and aesthetically premium luggage wheel design. The design must be suitable for mass production and demonstrate a strong engineering approach. Participants are expected to present a design optimized for CNC machining and polyurethane coating.

Wheel Structure

Hub: CNC-machined aluminum or steel
Coating: Extra-durable red polyurethane (quiet and wear-resistant)

Load Capacity

Minimum 80–100 kg per wheel

Dimensions

Maximum height: 60 mm
Diameter: 50–60 mm

Mounting

Dual-wheel system (low-profile)
Standard mounting points for easy suitcase integration

Optional Features

Bearing integration (for smooth and quiet motion)

Deliverables

3D CAD Model: STEP (.stp) + native format (Inventor/SolidWorks preferred)

Let me know is this particularly for your suite case or common for all (std ), please give a clarity with reference image , max dia for the wheels will be 50-60 mm and height of the system is 60 mm ,then what about the mounting part,is it inside the wheel dia or can be project upper side .

After carefully reviewing the requirements the scope feels very large for a blind contest with a one hundred dollar prize. The requested work includes full three dimensional CAD models fully toleranced two dimensional manufacturing drawings exploded assembly views and a complete bill of materials along with consideration of load capacity CNC machining and polyurethane molding. This level of detail usually belongs to a paid product development stage rather than a concept level competition. The design itself is achievable from an engineering point of view however clearer guidance on whether a conceptual or production ready submission is expected and what target unit cost is being considered would help participants match their effort to the contest value. Providing this clarity would likely result in more realistic and technically sound submissions.

To convert a wheelbarrow into drain silt carrier
We use wheel barrow to carry any solid item like construction material etc. . We need to convert it into a caarier of drain waste by adding fileration and small water storage. Idea is that during cleaning of open drain in small colony / gali , we dont have any carrier which can carry drain silt which is mixed with water therfore we had to kept it on the road and for drying. A wheelbarrow may be changed in acarrier which can drain the excess water and only solid waste remain in the carrier.
Compressor Valve Improvement
I have several designs for a compressor valve that I have been working on. I am looking now to manufacture based on a numnber of tests made. However, I have 2 designs that I need to decide to finalize. I would like to get good engineering feedback on the best option that will ensure no leakage and the longest operational running hours. These valves will run in a compressor and need to run for 16000hrs and longer.
