We are hosting a design contest for our proprietary outdoor digital LCD board used for property advertising across Australia. We require a sleek, modern, premium aluminium enclosure design that is significantly thinner, more refined, and more aesthetically polished than traditional kiosk casings.
The enclosure must house:
1. A high-brightness 55" outdoor LCD (screen dimensions will be provided)
2. Internal cooling system (fans or alternative airflow solution)
3. Power supply modules
4. Controller board
5. LED recessed perimeter lighting (groove around all outer edges)
6. Integrated TTLock smart lockbox compartment
7. Waterproofing + gasket channels (IP65/66)
8. Hinged front door for service access
9. Branding cut-outs or recessed section for our company name & slogan
Your responsibilities:
1. Design the full aluminium outer shell with smooth radius corners, Apple/Tesla-style minimalism.
2. Internal structural framework suitable for screen, electronics, wiring, airflow, and lockbox mounting.
3. Waterproofing + ventilation engineering.
4. Front door hinge/latch system (preferably internal or low-visibility).
5. Recessed LED groove design around the board perimeter.
6. Base mounting interface for outdoor installation.
7. Deliver all manufacturing-ready CAD files.
What we will provide:
1. Photos, videos & dimensions of current Version 1 board
2. Internal component dimensions (screen, power supplies, motherboard, lockbox)
3. Reference images of the desired aesthetic
4. LED groove shape specs
5. Brand placement requirements
The end result must be:
1. Premium appearance
2. Simple internal structure
3. Durable for outdoor weather
4. Easy to manufacture in aluminium
5. Thinner and more elegant than our Version 1 casing
This design will be used nationwide, quality, accuracy, and manufacturability are critical.
We will select the winning design based on:
1. Aesthetic quality: modern, sleek, premium industrial design.
2. Manufacturability: enclosure must be practical for CNC sheet metal fabrication in aluminium.
3. Waterproofing engineering (IP65/66).
4. Internal layout clarity & cooling strategy.
5. Accurate dimensions & proper mounting points.
6. Realistic hinge system that fits within LED groove constraints.
7. Completeness of deliverables: STEP files, exploded view, technical drawings, assembly documentation.
