Description:
I am looking for a CAD or 3d Studio Max drawing of 8 totem pole sections.

These sections are going to be cut on a CNC laithe out of wood logs. There are going to be 2 top sections and 6 interchangeable mid sections.

The top sections are going to be some kind of bird that have cutouts for insert able wings. One of the birds is to have a flat beak and the other one a large beak that is machined separately. The wings are going to be cut from about 3/4" thick wood. There will be two sets of wings (4 total) two large and two small. The large wings will be about 12" X 36" and the small wings will be about 8" x 20".

All sections to be 36" to 60" long using 9" to 16" diameter logs. The base of the top sections and the top and base of all of the mid sections need to be similar diameter so that they can be stacked on top of one another.

There is a significant artistic component to this project. There are some models available online to get a start with but they will need to be modified and added to. Keep in mind that all of the pieces need to have a similar theme. All of the pieces should be a stylized depiction of a north american animal ie. moose, bear, beaver, squirrel, turtle, eagle, owl etc. A mosquito would be great too.
Wants:
Machinability, detail, common theme,
Don't Wants:
I do not want all of the sections to be too similar
Ask for Sample:
Good but not required.
Software:
  1. CAD or 3D Studio Max

Is some manual carving permitted, otherwise I don't see how you can produce anything than simple rotationally-symmetric parts using a 3-axis CNC lathe?

The maximum length is 96" and the maximum diameter of the log is 16"

Is it safe to assume that you would have a maximum side for both the diameter of the log and the length?

Specification of machine ability can be good information for .

What file to be needed at the end to be exported ? Prepaid target can be good reason for ( too big job)

How many axes your lathe has ? Is it possible to do undercuts ?

Hover fit
HoverFit is an exercise device used to strengthen the upper body. The device is comprised of a circular ring with padding in the inner portion for comfort. It is approximately 10” in diameter. Users put both ankles in the ring and strap down the padding. Users utilize a percentage of their own weight to complete the movements. There is a moving mechanism that keeps the device from becoming tangled and allows for free rotation and movement. The device can be hung from any suitable location above the user.
Billet Valve Covers
Need a designer to help design billet valve covers for cylinder heads. Specifically for an LS based motor. We are a performance shop that focus on fabrication and engines. These parts will be made from CNC MILLING. Need design turned into G-Code
Electric Bycyle
A dynamic model for the performance and environmental analysis of an innovative e-bike The design should describes a performance and environmental analysis of an innovative e-bike by means of a dynamic model equipped with a suitable control for the management of the assisted drive of the e-bike.The main advantage of this approach should consists of the opportunity to simulate different tracks, e-bikes characterized by different parameters (total mass, wheels moment of inertia) and different control strategies.
A connector of modular cat furniture
We need a connector - a simple connecting mechanism to connect different pieces of basic unit (including scratching post, condo, shelf, base...) of modular cat furniture together. You may refer to the attached pdf file to check for the details and dimensions of our cat furniture. It is an example but not limited to this style only. Traditionally it uses metal screws to connect different parts of cat furniture together, which is time-consuming and not user-friendly. It is not easy to assemble and disassemble. We are looking for an innovative and simple way to connect things. Requirements: 1) Easy to use - Cat owners should be able to use this connector quickly to assemble different pieces of cat furniture together 2) Safe to use - It should be cause any danger to cats 3) Need to attach a hanging cat toy (inside the condo or under the shelf) if possible 4) Material of the connector can be wood / metal / plastic, depending on the design. We are open to suggestions 5) Looks appealing with a modern design 6) The design should not infringe on an existing patent Please submit a neutral CAD file (STEP preferred) and a native CAD file. We also need a 2D drawing with all the dimensions and a bill of materials specified.
Think out side the box, a new take on photo booths. Innovation starts here.
Greetings. As a commercial photographer I was getting sick of this DIY Photo Booth market. So I've spent the past 2 years prototyping different products to combine to make a reliable product to take to market. While doing this we built a company that would let our products be tested in the real world. This is my first time posting for CADCrowd so we will be as detailed as possible, if you need any more info please leave a public message or send me a private message. What we are looking for: We want to build a product that is innovative, stylish, light weight, collapsable yet durable. We are sick of seeing Boxes. We want a unit that is free standing and curtain-less. I would love a stainless steel or aluminum face, but are open to other ideas. We don't want the end product to break the bank when it comes to manufacturing so would like materials to be widely available. Height - We would like the unit to be at its tallest 70" would like it to have removable sections so hight could vary. Free standing Collapsable/mobile - END GOAL would love for the entire unit to break down in to ONE 1650 Pelican Case. Simply assembly - would like this process to go quick, maybe pins/magnets/dovetails maybe power integration from base to components. Durable - This unit will be on the go, seeing 50-60 party's a year, thats 10,000 - 50,000 potentially drunk people a year and would love to get at least 5 years from it. Stream line - think of apples clean cut designs, would love for it to feel simple, not threatening. Products: Specs Available online or upon request. HITI 510L Printer - needs side access for paper and ink, can only print on a angle of up to 30 degrees, would love for paper to come out on the front under/lower then the screen. the printer can be removable or bolted to unit. (consider break down) Windows surface tablet - needs to be accessible for touch screen, needs to be mounted flush or minimal clearance for clean design. needs access to power and usb ports from the back. Camera - standard DSLR camera. would like to have a 77mm UV filter mounted for the camera to touch up against. a dovetail plate would be great to let the camera move back and forth for different lens (up to 8" of slide) Lights - would like to place LED's and a flash tube on either side of the camera so we will need holes and diffusion plexi/plastic for this as well. we will most lily be making our own boards to mount so there aren't any specs on this yet. Adjustable angle mount - would like it if the tablet/camera/light were mounted together with a potential of up to 20 degree horizontal tilt. (consider whats behind the faceplate, don't want gaps where fingers can get caught. I hope this sums up needs and wants. I will include a quick sketch of our ideas to maybe fuel your inspiration.
