Thanks for the contest. I'm working on it.
Hello, what is the length of the gripper legs? and what is the max and min size of the 300 gr objects?
@GalaxyRobotics Yes. In the attached files, travel for M3 is 12 cm.
So the end effector only needs to be able to travel up to 12 cm?
@ markg1 Thank you for your interest.
1) We want to use the standard tripod mount so that anyone can use it with their tripod.
2) Yes, the end effector needs to move parallel to tripod (Z-axis). The range of motion needs to be between 0 - 12 cm.
3) We have not decided the material. It is part of the design.

@IBG Research Thank you for this contest! I have a few questions:
1) Are you wishing to modify the tripod for mounting the arm or are you keeping it the same with the ball joint and camera mount?
2) Does the mechanism at the end of the arm need to move along the Z-axis (up/down if the tripod is the Z-axis)?
3) Do you have a desired material type for the arm?

@MarioPereiraFerrero Thank you for your interest. The mentioned weight does not include any part of the arm or mechanism or motors. It is the upper limit of weight which arm can pick and hold.
Ideally it would be great if arm can move 360 degrees. Gripper design is not part of the contest.

First of all, thanks for this contest. Could you explain a little more about the system? The restrain of weight is with all include (arms, mechanisms and motors)? How the system will work on the tripode, you want that can go around 360°, or positioning the legs of the tripode in the best way each time.
The gripper system should be smooth and proportional? I'll waiting your feedback. Thank you.

@Sava Is it possible to send me an image of how it might look and a comparison of both the configurations? Thank you.
Since it will be mounted on a tripod, maybe it's better to be something like a tower crane for the balance to be more possible. Or it must be SCARA configuration and nothing else?
@RamaKD It needs to be motor driven. Thank you for your interest.

does the mechanism need to be automatic, or can it be manual (hand-driven)?
Hello @SAM_Mayo Eng. It is done. Thank you for your interest.
Hello @ IBG Research
It's an interesting contest, but could you make the payment pre-paid ?

Hello @allanc.
Yes. The user should be able to use the full range of the tripod.

Hello @IBG Research.
Will the end user be utilising the tripod max and min heights stated by Benrousa ?
MINIMUM HEIGHT 12.4 in (31.5 cm)
MAXIMUM HEIGHT 51.2 in (130 cm)
Many thanks

@GalaxyRobtics It may or may not be a part of the design.
@syam_catia Thank you for your interest.

Thank you for this great contest
So the motors are not part of the design that we have to submit?
