Unicycle

Contest Ended, Winner(s) have been selected.
Description:
Hi all, thanks for checking out my contest! I am involved with a company that is looking to receive some entries for a "prototype" electric unicycle. If you aren't familiar let me give you a brief background. Remember the hoverboards last xmas?? The electric unicycle works on essentially the same principle (upside down pendulum theory) to achieve self balancing capability. The current offerings on the market just don't cut it, the plastics are basically thrown together around the requirements of a build, rather than incorporating the necessary components into the design for a smooth finish. I would like the final product to be somewhat futuristic/prototypish looking, maybe a bit sporty. You can get a feeling for whats out there by doing a google search for "electric unicycle". Integral to the design there are 3 requirements. 1.) Obviously the plastic fairing will need to have a cavity for the wheel, but in addition, it will need to subtly include a space for lipo batteries, (doesnt have to be in any particular shape however), and also must include spot for a pcb control board. Both of these items arent excessively large, the PCB is about 4X3 inches and the batteries are about 5X5X1 (but can be reconfigured). 2.) I would also like to incorporate into my design a headlight, and a tail light if possible, but most concerned with head light. Would also like to leave the option open to include small bluetooth speakers, however these would not take very much space at all. 3.) Finally, this design will need to have a retractable handle for balance when getting on/off.
Wants:
The final concept will be evaluated on how well the designer(s) can incorporate my requirements into the overall finished product. Is it slapped together and designed around the requirements....or rather is it designed from the ground up to conveniently incorporate these added functions....that will be the question I ask when evaluating.*** bonus points if you can cleverly incorporate a "fox" into your design, but not required. If chosen to do so, it will need to be simplistic in order to replicate, but have good taste.
Don't Wants:
a copy of something currently available, with a few changes slapped together. I have included a 2D drawing that I made with the basic principle of what I am looking for, however please incorporate your own style, don't be constrained by my lack thereof.

#3 ExoUnicycle - c/w Accessory Mounts by Decker
I have incorporated an exoskeleton to the design of the unicycle in make fend / housing mounting more cosmetic and less structural. You will be able to incorporate accessories like a lifting handles or guide training bar to the extra mount points located just above the axle. Exterior exoskeleton is made incorporating standard bent pipe manufacturing found common in bicycle fabrication. Fenders will house both the circuit board mounting and lithium battery arrays. I can supply the 3D modeling files you desire them I assume this is only for concept.

#5 Electric Unicycle by Crozycki
Fox design body, 14"x2.125" wheels (could upgrade to 16"), Bluetooth speakers on top, rear red light, front "eye" lights, vent through the nose and ears, electrical housing unit could flow a little better if I could get pics and sizes of electrical components inside. I can email the solidworks file, just let me know. The jpegs are varied with colour and material (medium gloss plastic body vs. satin style plastic body)

#9 Electric unicycle by Federico Virdia
1) The skeleton of the unicycle is integrated in the fairing.
2) As you asked I made a retractable handle that is used to facilitate getting on and off. Once extended it can be grabbed at about 80 cm from the ground. If not desired because it ruins the design it can be easily removed.
3) On the left side of the fairing are the lipo batteries, the PCB control board and one speaker. The batteries are enclosed by the skeleton which helps to support their weight.
4) On the right side of the fairing are the electric engine and one speaker.
5) The “pedals” can be closed against the fairing.
6) A front and a rear light are present.
7) If needed, an additional handle can be added in line with the axis of rotation to facilitate hand transport.

#18 The foxycycle by Federico Virdia
Aside from the things that I talked about in the previous design, here there are a few modifications:
1) The retractable handle, with the shape of a fox, is wide to allow a person to put his weight on it to facilitate getting on and off the unicycle.
2) On the two sides of the handle, where the fox’s ears would be, are two indents to facilitate grabbing the handle with one or two hands.
3) The drawings of the fox at the front and the fox’s tail at the back can be removed or changed if necessary.

Aw, it was just an idea coming up to my mind at that moment. I was thinking the unicycle might be able to run faster if we can use a micro jet engine or something similar, It will not be pneumatic thou because it will still need electricity. But anyway, I got my prototype design done here. More detail design and installation instruction could be added after if you require~

Vinya: I was just wondering if a seat type was acceptable for an entry cause it was not mentioned in the "don't wants". Stand-up it is...20 hrs left to design. Maybe I can squeeze it in. Thanks for the feedback Vinya:)

John: All the entries so far are purely the stand-up type. Will you accept the seat type uni as well?

Edward, i extended the contest so you also could update your design if you wish. I'd say for you to have a realistic shot at the prize, I need to see some better close ups of your unicycle, I can see the cube you made better than the unicycle...

An alternative to picking up dog dropping with plastic bags. A cheap, easy to build, bio-degradeable design. It should, with a minimum of moving parts, (ideally 1-2 piece cardboard structure), pick up and enclose droppings. Should also include built in handle (reasonably distanced from holding section) Simplicity is key. As will need to be able to produce cheaply in large volumes. MUST BE MASS PRODUCEABLE for cost in the region of $1-2.

Leaside Project
I am building a new home and require innovative interior architectural design options ( kitchen, family room, living room and powder room) that will accommodate an exterior elevation that is already defined. One of the most important aspects to this assignment is the location of the interior foyer relative to the location of stairs that go up to the 2nd floor and down to the basement. The desired design of the foyer is to be defined in terms of its presence but not in a manner that it takes away from the interior space in a significant manner. Once a 1st floor layout is approved, the need to prepare a modern and eye catching interior design (with furniture, crown holding, tray ceilings, wainscotting, etc. ) with photo like renderings will be required. I have attached the exterior elevation (which is reversed to the actual location of the garage) but it provides a sense of the foyer location. I have also provided a PDF of the ground floor footprint that we have to work with. The dimensions of the foot print is fixed. This ground floor plan design is not the optimal in terms of the foyer so we are looking for innovative designs that will fit within the plan dimensions and our needs..
