THIS IS THE 2ND MAIN VERSION OF THE BRACELET WE WANT TO FOCUS ON (PLEASE REFER TO THE ATTACHMENTS “PURE STRENGTH - )

The 2nd type of design we’d like to focus on is based on the attached photos of the “Pure Strength” silicone bracelet. This is a reversible, two-tone silicone bracelet which has an elastic inner piece of silicone that stretches to slip on and off your wrist, and this elastic inner piece of flexible silicone actually runs through the main silicone segment of the bracelet that reads “pure strength”.

We’d like to see this same two-tone, reversible, elastic design made up of 7 separate segments, with the elastic inner piece of silicone running through all 7 segments.

One side of the bracelet would display 7 blue segments, each of which would have a small amount of water from one of the 7 seas. When you reversed the bracelet, the other side would display 7 brown segments, each of which would contain a small soil sample from one of the 7 continents.

And similar to the “Pure Strength” bracelet in the photos, each blue segment should have one of the names of the 7 seas engraved in the silicone in the same color brown as on the other side. Similarly on the brown, opposite side of the bracelet, each of the brown segments should have one of the names of the 7 continents engraved in the silicone with same color blue that’s on the opposite side.

We’d like to see the engraved lettering use a modern font like Helvetica Neue, or something similar.

7 Seas:
1. Arctic
2. N. Atlantic
3. S. Atlantic
4. N. Pacific
5. S. Pacific
6. Indian
7. Southern

7 Continents:
1. Asia
2. Africa
3. N. America
4. S. America
5. Antarctica
6. Europe
7. Australia

Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions about this proposed version…thanks for your patience and effort, we realize this is a lot of detailed instructions to take into account.

THIS IS THE 1ST MAIN VERSION OF THE BRACELET WE WANT TO FOCUS ON:

Hi Everyone. We have reviewed all the submitted designs to date and we first want to thank you all again for your creative, beautiful submissions! We have 2 weeks left in our contest and there are 2 types of designs we want to focus on for the rest of the contest.

The first one is actually based on Design in our contest. We like the single silicone bracelet made up of 14 round segments. Here are some specific suggested revisions for Design :

1.) We think Design in its current format is a little on the feminine side, and we want to make the bracelet appealing for as many people as possible (girls, boys, women, and men). We want the design to remain all silicone so it can be produced via injection molding, but we’d like to see if making the round segments smaller would make it look less feminine? We’d like to maintain in inner-circumference of 7.5 inches (19 cm). Perhaps there could be a thin connecting piece of the silicone that could act as a spacer in between the 14 round segments to achieve this adjustment?

2.) In addition to making the round segments smaller, we would like to some some different shades of brown and blue used in the segments to “tone down” the look and make it more appealing to both girls and boys.

3.) In Design it appears that the silicone is shiny and reflective. We would like to see the bracelet made with a more matted type of silicone, in part to make it more appealing to both genders.

4.) We would like to see the brown and blue segments alternating (i.e. blue, brown, blue, brown, etc)…as opposed to all the blue on one side and all the brown segments of the other side.

5.) Finally, we would like to see a version of the bracelet which incorporates engraved lettering in the silicone on each of the round segments. The 7 blue segments would be engraved with one of the 7 seas listed below. And the 7 brown segments would be engraved with one of the 7 continents listed below. We’d like to see the engraved lettering use a modern font like Helvetica Neue, or something similar.

7 Seas:
1. Arctic
2. N. Atlantic
3. S. Atlantic
4. N. Pacific
5. S. Pacific
6. Indian
7. Southern

7 Continents:
1. Asia
2. Africa
3. N. America
4. S. America
5. Antarctica
6. Europe
7. Australia

The 2nd main version of the bracelet we&;d like to focus on will be posted below...

Hi Antony. The bracelet is definitely meant to be unisex...and hopefully not just for kids either, although kids between 10 - 18 will be our initial target market.

Hi Ridwan. Thanks for your questions; I have provided answers in-line below.

1. So you don&;t want rounded shape design for the segments?
A1: Yes, rather than circular segments we are leaning towards using more oblong, American style football shaped segments.

2. If we use silicone material, it&;s means the bracelet has high elasticity? am I right?
A2: Yes. The bracelet will need to have some flexibility / elasticity in order for people to slip the bracelet on and off their wrists. The initial size of the bracelet (inner circumference) will be 7.5 inches or 19 cm.

3. Are you like power balance bracelet? are the design direction like that?
A3: I&;m not sure exactly what the "power balance bracelet" is...can you send a link to see what you&;re referring to?

4. Can we use stainless or some metal material for the list or the list are made by silicone to?
A4: We would like the entire bracelet to be made of silicone.

5. Am I right the segment which injected water and soil made by silicone?
A5: Yes. We are planning on injecting / inserting small amounts of the water and soil samples in the 14 different segments of the bracelet at some point during the manufacturing process. We have not yet finalized the exact way this will be done yet so for now we are staying focused on getting our ideal design in place and then we will address the manufacturing process.

Please don&;t hesitate to let us know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi Ridwan. So far we like design the most. But we would like to see the the soil and water segments in more of a football-type shape, as opposed to pure round circles (perhaps something closer to the football-like segments depicted in design ). The water and soil will be added to each bracelet segment during the manufacturing process. But you are correct we do not want the bracelet segments to be translucent. We will explain in the product packaging which segments contain water and soil from around the world. Please let us know if you have any additional questions? We look forward to seeing your design ideas!
