Two-Stage Spur Gear Reducer
This project was entirely designed and modeled by me using Solid Edge 2025.
The gearbox was designed for a three-phase induction motor. The objective of the project was to reduce the motor's rotational speed by designing a two-stage spur gear reducer intended for use in a belt conveyor drive system.
The model includes a custom-designed gearbox housing, cover, shafts, spur gears, bearing retainer, and motor mounting structure, together with the required standard machine elements, including fasteners, seals, and vibration isolation mounts.
The project includes an exploded assembly drawing with a bill of materials, a detailed part drawing, an animation demonstrating the gearbox operation, and multiple rendered views.
During the design process, special attention was given to realistic mechanical design, the use of standard machine elements, and ease of assembly.
