Truck tarping platforms: steel structure design (Advance Steel, AxisVM)

Engineering consultancy project (BRAVNN, 2025). Raised platforms so workers can tarp trucks safely; the same structure works as the anchorage for their fall-arrest harnesses. I calculated three versions (18 m serving both sides, 18 m serving one side and 12 m serving one side): modeled the structure in Advance Steel, analyzed it in AxisVM with a 12 kN test load at 30 degrees from vertical, checked the base plates and anchors, drew the drawings (up to revision 7) and the bill of materials, and wrote the three calculation reports. Final version: 3,152 kg of steel and 426 parts.
