Steering Knuckle Analysis & Reverse Engineering

This project demonstrates the high-precision reverse engineering and technical validation of a steering knuckle, a critical automotive safety component. The study focuses on converting scanned data into a clean, functional CAD model while performing a surface deviation analysis to ensure dimensional accuracy.Technical Highlights:Reverse Engineering Excellence: Successfully reconstructed complex organic geometries from mesh data into high-quality NURBS surfaces using Siemens NX.Deviation Analysis: Integrated a color-coded inspection map (heat map) to visualize and verify surface tolerances, ensuring the model matches the original part within a range of 0.000 to 0.212 mm.Automotive Expertise: Applied 20+ years of industry experience to ensure the component meets rigorous mechanical and manufacturing standards.Production-Ready Modeling: Optimized the model for future casting or machining processes, maintaining professional standards of technical integrity.
