Project: Outdoor Trash Bin – Reverse Engineered and Redesign for Parks

This project involved the reverse engineering and complete redesign of a public trash bin intended for parks and urban open spaces. The goal was to enhance the product's aesthetic appeal, structural strength, and manufacturing efficiency while maintaining durability for outdoor conditions. ✅ Key Features: SolidWorks-based 3D modeling and detailed drawings Structural optimization for sheet metal fabrication Modular design for ease of assembly and maintenance Weather-resistant considerations for outdoor use Redesigned cover and inner bin system with ergonomic access The bin was developed from a physical sample through reverse engineering, and the new design was fabricated using 1.5 mm sheet metal and powder coating finish. The final prototype was produced and installed in actual park locations for field testing and feedback. The project demonstrates strong skills in reverse engineering, industrial design, and practical production-ready development using SolidWorks and sheet metal tools.
