This on/off pneumatic valve is used in the expiratory circuit of mechanical ventilators to control discharge pressure and flow. The valve is actuated by differential pressure applied behind a diaphragm, ensuring reliable and quiet operation without electrical components. Designed through reverse engineering and customized for medical use, this valve was integrated into clinical ventilator systems.
