Hybrid Monitor Stand — DfAM, Snap-Fit & BOM Design
Challenge: Design functional hybrid monitor stand minimizing material
usage and print time while maximizing structural rigidity.
What I did:
- DfAM-optimized geometry — no support-dependent overhangs
- Gyroid infill (30%) for optimal strength-to-weight ratio
- Hybrid material strategy: PETG + natural wood rails
- Snap-fit joints (±0.2mm) validated across 20 assembly cycles
- Modular design: headset stand + storage drawer as independent modules
- Complete 6-item multi-level BOM with DXF export for each part
