Gate valve

File folder contains: STEP AP214(.stp) files of all individual parts as well as the assembly. Designed in SolidWorks. This is a CAD model of a gate valve, typically found in pipelines where a strong and reliable shutoff is needed. The design utilizes a handwheel and rising stem to move a gate within the valve body up and down. When opened fully, there is an unobstructed flow path with almost no pressure loss. When closing it, the flow stops completely. They are ideal for isolation in industrial systems; however, they are not suitable for fine control. Typically used in water treatment, oil and gas industries.
