Custom ESP32 IoT Controller PCB – KiCad
Custom two-layer ESP32 controller PCB developed from schematic capture through physical prototype.
The board integrates an ESP32-WROOM-32E module, coin-cell-backed real-time clock, piezo buzzer, user push-buttons, and screw-terminal connections for external sensors, relays, and peripherals.
Project scope included:
• Schematic capture and component selection
• PCB placement and two-layer routing in KiCad
• Power and signal-interface design
• Design-rule and manufacturability checks
• Gerber, drill, BOM, and assembly-file preparation
• Prototype fabrication and hand assembly
• Board bring-up, functional testing, and troubleshooting
The design demonstrates practical experience converting an embedded-system concept into a compact, manufacturing-ready PCB.
