Crown Victoria BITD Roll Cage Design

This project involves the professional design of a custom roll cage for a Crown Victoria chassis, developed with a strong focus on driver safety, structural integrity, and race compliance. The roll cage is engineered to integrate accurately within the vehicle’s interior geometry while maintaining proper clearances for occupants, drivetrain components, and suspension systems. Using 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks) and provided references such as vehicle measurements or 3D scan data, the design ensures precise tube routing, optimal load paths, and manufacturable joints. The roll cage layout is suitable for desert racing, off-road applications, or motorsport builds, with provisions for main hoop, A-pillars, roof structure, door bars, rear stays, and gusseting as required. The design approach emphasizes: Compliance with race safety standards (e.g., BITD / off-road guidelines where applicable) Proper tube sizing, bend radii, and node alignment Clean, fabrication-friendly geometry Structural rigidity and impact protection Seamless fit within the Crown Victoria platform Deliverables typically include a complete 3D roll cage model, assembly structure, and optional fabrication-ready drawings, enabling efficient manufacturing and installation.
