Chain Gear- Reverse Engineering for 3D Printing

A damaged chain gear was reverse engineered and reproduced using 3D scanning and additive manufacturing technologies. The part was scanned using Creaform .OS, rebuilt through the Scan-to-CAD workflow, and further optimized in SOLIDWORKS for efficient 3D printing. The final model was prepared in PrusaSlicer and successfully manufactured using FDM technology. The replacement part was delivered to the maintenance team, where it was installed and performed successfully in service.
