Broken Joystick Component — Reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering study of the internal grip body of a steering joystick used in a Linde industrial machine.
Challenge: Recreate the component geometry from a broken physical reference.
Solution and contribution: Eleven 3D rebuilt the geometry in Autodesk Fusion 360, including the outer profile, central cavity, mounting openings and internal features visible in the reference material. Isometric, front and side CAD views document the result.
This project demonstrates reconstruction of an existing mechanical component. No manufacturing process, dimensional tolerance, fit verification or functional test result is claimed.
Photographic documentation: The owner supplied photographs of the broken reference and a 3D-printed joystick component. The displayed photographs have AI-assisted retouching for color balance, lighting, noise reduction and presentation; they are not dimensional inspection or functional validation evidence. CAD views are shown before the retouched photographs.
