3D Model: Arduino-Compatible Device Enclosure (Pre-DFM Analysis Stage)
This model presents a functional enclosure for an Arduino-based computing device, focusing on manufacturability for injection molding.
Key Features Shown:
1. Complete two-part assembly (base and cover) with intended parting line.
2. Integrated mounting features: screw bosses, snap-fit clips, and interlocking ribs.
3. Internal structure for PCB support and component clearance.
4. Openings for connectors, buttons, and ventilation.
Current Status & Note:
This is a pre-DFM (Design for Manufacturing) model. Core mounting and structural features are established, but draft angles have not yet been applied to the vertical walls. The model is in a ready state for a comprehensive DFM review, where final adjustments for moldability—including draft, wall thickness optimization, and potential rib design—will be finalized.
Note: While I perform the full DFM process for injection molding preparation, this has not been applied here – this is a conceptual/visualization model.
Purpose: Serves as a validation prototype for form, fit, and assembly logic prior to detailed molding design.
