Custom Aluminum Housing for Electronic Systems
This project involved the design and development of a precision aluminum enclosure for protecting industrial electronic components in demanding operating environments. The enclosure was engineered to provide structural rigidity, ease of assembly, and reliable protection while maintaining a clean, compact, and professional appearance.
The design was developed in SolidWorks using a parametric modeling approach to simplify future modifications and customization. Careful consideration was given to wall thickness, fastening methods, mounting features, machining operations, and component clearances to ensure manufacturability and efficient assembly.
The enclosure was designed to accommodate internal electronic components while allowing convenient access for installation, maintenance, and future upgrades. Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles were incorporated to optimize CNC machining and fabrication processes while minimizing production costs.
