Aluminum Die-Cast Enclosure | Reverse Engineering & CAD Reconstruction

This project involved the complete reverse engineering and CAD reconstruction of an aluminum injection molded enclosure base. The workflow started with multiple 3D scan data sets that were cleaned, aligned, and merged into a high-quality watertight mesh. Using Creaform Scan-to-CAD, the mesh was converted into an accurate parametric model, which was then transferred to SolidWorks for feature refinement and manufacturing preparation. The final model was optimized by adding the required draft angles, design details, and manufacturability considerations, resulting in a production-ready CAD model suitable for the next stages of mold design and manufacturing.
