Actuator Pin Force Analysis & O-Ring Friction Simulation
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) performed to determine the required actuation force for a piston/pin mechanism. The assembly consists of an actuation pin moving through a cover with a 2.5 mm operational stroke. The simulation accounts for non-linear contact mechanics, including a dynamic friction coefficient of 0.3 on the dual O-ring sealing system, to precisely evaluate equivalent (Von-Mises) stress distribution and resistance forces during actuation.
