3D Modeling & Assembly of an Automotive Transmission
# Project Overview
This project involved the reverse engineering and 3D modeling of an automotive transmission section using SolidWorks. The objective was to analyze a physical mechanical assembly, obtain accurate measurements, and recreate its main components as detailed 3D CAD models.
## Process
- Measured the physical transmission components using calipers.
- Used real dimensions and geometries as references for the CAD models.
- Modeled the individual mechanical components in SolidWorks.
- Created the complete 3D assembly and defined the relationships between components.
- Verified the positioning and interaction of the different mechanical parts.
- Used SolidWorks Motion Study to animate and visualize the movement of the mechanism.
