187 mL Round Glass Jar Design for Food and Consumer Packaging

This project involved the design and development of a 187 mL round glass jar intended for food, cosmetic, and consumer packaging applications. The objective was to create a functional, aesthetically appealing, and manufacturing-ready container that combines durability with an efficient packaging design. The jar was developed in SolidWorks using a fully parametric modeling approach, allowing easy modifications to dimensions, wall thickness, and finish specifications. The design was optimized for glass manufacturing while maintaining uniform wall distribution, structural integrity, and an attractive appearance suitable for premium consumer products. Particular attention was given to the jar geometry, neck finish compatibility, base stability, labeling surface, and overall manufacturability to ensure reliable production and efficient filling, capping, and packaging operations.
