1.5 Liter Ergonomic Plastic Bottle Design for Household Cleaning Products
This project involved the design and development of a 1.5-liter ergonomic plastic bottle intended for household cleaning and liquid detergent packaging. The objective was to create a visually distinctive, user-friendly, and manufacturing-ready bottle that enhances consumer handling while maintaining structural strength and production efficiency.
The bottle was developed in SolidWorks using advanced parametric and surface modeling techniques. The design features sculpted ergonomic contours and an integrated spiral grip that improves handling, pouring control, and overall user comfort. The flowing body lines also provide a modern, premium appearance that strengthens shelf presence and brand recognition.
Special consideration was given to extrusion blow molding (EBM) manufacturing requirements, including draft angles, uniform wall thickness distribution, material flow, mold release, and structural reinforcement. The neck finish was designed to accommodate standard threaded closures, ensuring compatibility with existing dispensing caps while maintaining a reliable seal.
