Questions and answers

A: I specialize in mechanical assemblies, telescopic / extendable mechanisms, lightweight metal structures, industrial handles/poles, precision machined parts, and all-metal designs (no plastic). Typical projects include telescopic handles, adjustable arms, medical mobility aids, tactical/industrial tools, camera jibs, drone ground supports, mounting fixtures, and custom sliding/locking systems.

A: Yes — that's one of my strongest areas. I regularly turn hand-drawn sketches, scanned PDFs, photos, WhatsApp drawings, and verbal descriptions into clean, production-ready 3D models and 2D drawings. I first provide a feasibility check + weight/stiffness feedback before starting modelling.

A: Primary: SolidWorks (most clients prefer this)
Secondary: Autodesk Fusion 360, Inventor
I can also deliver in FreeCAD format if budget is tight.
All major output formats: STEP, IGES, SLDPRT, F3D, DXF, DWG, PDF drawings.

A: Yes — every project includes:

Fully dimensioned 2D drawings (GD&T where needed)
Critical tolerances (±0.05–0.1 mm on sliding fits, ±0.2 mm general)
Material call-outs (e.g. 6061-T6, 7075-T6, stainless hardware)
Surface finish notes (anodizing, polishing, etc.)
BOM with off-the-shelf part numbers (springs, plungers, screws)
Assembly sequence / exploded views

A: Yes — I always provide a weight breakdown per part before final modelling.
I suggest realistic tube sizes, wall thicknesses, alloy choices (7075-T6 for top section), and machining strategies to remove non-critical material.
Very tight targets (≤750 g) are challenging with all-metal + mechanisms, so I give honest feedback early (often 720–820 g realistic range).

A: I design with real-world sliding clearances (0.4–0.8 mm per side), felt/PTFE tape provisions, anti-binding geometry, and reliable locking (spring plungers, snap buttons, cam releases).
I can incorporate off-the-shelf components (Vlier/McMaster spring plungers, stainless compression springs) and custom machined plungers/knurled nuts

A:

Simple part / bracket: 1–3 days
Medium telescopic assembly (like your 3-stage handle): 4–10 days
Complex mechanism + full documentation: 8–18 days
Rush orders possible (extra fee).

A:

Hand sketches / drawings / photos
Key dimensions (extended/collapsed length, max envelope, weight target)
Functional requirements (load, locking type, unlocking method)
Intended use (helps me suggest materials/tolerances)
Any must-have off-the-shelf parts (springs, plungers, etc.)

A: Yes — standard mutual NDA is available and commonly used. All files and discussions are confidential.

A: Fixed-price per project (preferred) after reviewing scope, or hourly (if iterative changes expected).
Typical range for telescopic handle projects: $200–$2,500 depending on complexity, revisions, and documentation level.
I provide a free 24–48 hour feasibility check + quote after seeing sketches/specs.

A: Yes — I can share anonymized portfolio examples of telescopic poles, adjustable arms, precision locking mechanisms, and lightweight metal assemblies. Please ask and I’ll send relevant images or links

A: Unlimited minor revisions within reason during the first 14 days after final delivery.
I stay available for manufacturing support questions (tolerances, machining notes, supplier recommendations).
If you would like to hire me for your telescopic handle project (or a similar mechanism), just send your sketches/specifications and I will provide a free feasibility check + fixed-price quote within 24–48 hours.
