With over 25 years of experience in mechanical design, I’ve built my career around precision, collaboration, and a passion for clean, accurate engineering work. My background spans both the oil & gas, aerospace and construction industries, where I’ve contributed to everything from intricate 3D CAD models to detailed 2D drawings—always with a strong focus on precision work, attention to detail, GD&T and industry standards. I’m a firm believer that great engineering starts with clear processes and reliable data. That’s why I’ve made it a point to standardize design procedures and improve how teams manage and share engineering data. I enjoy working closely with engineers and designers to bring clarity and consistency to every stage of a project. I studied Mechanical Engineering Technology at the university level, and that education has stayed with me—especially the importance of accuracy in modeling, drawing, and documentation. Today, I continue to refine those skills and help teams deliver work that’s not only functional but built on solid engineering principles. Whether I’m contributing to a new system design or helping clean up legacy documentation, my goal is always the same: get the details right, support the team, and keep things moving forward.

Do you have an existing data base of 2D drawings or blueprints that you would like to update into 3D models? You can use free software to review and show case your 3D models and show your customers or team a model that can be rotated measured or put into a section view. This can greatly assist in helping your customer and team understand exactly what they are buying or making for you. Once you have 3D models you can also easily offer a model that can be downloaded and used by your customer or team.

I have 10 years experience in a sheet metal and machine shop engineering environment. In those 10 years, I have honed my skills in Solidworks and cad creation from both a technical and manufacturing production perspective. Creating 3D models, drafting blue prints and deriving functional flat patterns for use in production are daily tasks. I also regularly consult customers with concerns or recommendations which would improve their design cost-wise during manufacturing. I pride myself on my efficiency, creativity and attention to detail. A project example which I view as an accomplishment: I redesigned a long time job to meet evolving customer quality expectations while reducing engineering and planning costs. Using Solidworks, I created 3d models for the complex job's assemblies using dozens of configurations which were easily editable for both revision changes and use in similar jobs. This change reduced planning, drawing, drafting, and programming time by over 75% and greatly reduced the chance of error.
