Smart Cavity Creator LLC, a Washington, DC medical device company, seeks a SolidWorks professional based in the DC metro area (DC, Northern Virginia, or nearby Maryland) for an ongoing contract rebuilding a percutaneous instrument set as native parametric models.
Local candidates only. This engagement includes one to two in-person working sessions per week in Washington, DC: handling physical prototypes, reviewing feature trees together, and resolving specification questions directly. Modeling work between sessions is done remotely on your own schedule.
Inputs provided under NDA: STL files, physical prototypes, and controlled written dimensional specifications. The specifications are the authority; the STLs are reference only, and some contain known dimensional errors the rebuild must correct.
Deliverables per part:
1. Native SolidWorks part file, built from scratch, clean feature tree, fully defined sketches
2. Configurations for diameter variants where specified
3. Professional technical drawing with complete dimensioning
4. STEP file for DMLS metal (Ti-6Al-4V, 316L) and MJF polymer (PA12) manufacturing
