Expectations for Cabinet Detailer / Mozaik CNC Programmer
Core Responsibilities
Take approved Mozaik jobs (or design files) and fully prepare them for the shop floor.
Run the Mozaik Optimizer to create efficient nests with maximum material yield on sheets up to 5x10.
Generate accurate, machine-ready G-code specifically for our Holzher Dynestic 7505 CNC
Produce complete cut lists, nested labels, part lists, and any required shop documentation.
Verify all parts for correct dimensions, grain direction, edgebanding, hardware boring, joinery, and construction standards before release.
Flag and resolve any issues (missing operations, oversized parts, conflicts, etc.) before sending files to production.
Maintain consistency with our shop’s material library, construction methods, toolsets, tooling quantities, drillblock, and naming conventions.
Provide proactive suggestions on cutout methods, nesting strategies, toolpath settings, and potential tooling purchases that could improve efficiency, quality, or material yield on the Holzher Dynestic 7505.
Quality & Accuracy Standards
All nests must be reviewed for practical shop-floor handling (flip-side sequencing, remnant use, small-part strategy, etc.) on sheets up to 5x10 and the Holzher Dynestic 7505.
Parts must be correctly labeled and sequenced so the CNC operator and assemblers can work efficiently.

Recommendations (when relevant) for improved cutout methods, tooling, or process changes.
Communication & Process
Acknowledge receipt of every new job promptly.
Confirm estimated turnaround time when the job is received.
Raise questions or issues early — do not proceed with assumptions.
Notify immediately if a job cannot meet the required deadline or if critical information is missing.
Provide a short summary of changes or concerns when returning completed files.
Be available for quick clarification calls or messages during agreed working hours.
Share suggestions for cutout methods, tooling upgrades, or workflow improvements as they arise (do not wait for a formal request).
Turnaround Expectations
Standard jobs: completed and returned within [e.g., 24–48 hours] of receiving complete information.
Complex or large multi-room jobs: timeline agreed upon receipt.
Rush jobs: communicated and prioritized as needed.
Tools & Access
Work in the current version of Mozaik we use.
Follow our established libraries, machine settings, construction rules, tooling quantities, and drillblock configuration.
Account for material sizes from 4x8s to 5x10 sheets.
Use agreed file-sharing method (Dropbox / shared drive /or email) for all job files and outputs.
General Expectations
Treat every job as if it will be cut the same day the files arrive on the shop floor.
