Role Description the Sr. NX Design Airframe Engineer will work in a remote, contract capacity, leading and executing detailed airframe design activities using Siemens NX and related CAD tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing 3D models and drawings for airframe structures, creating and refining product designs, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements. The role involves reviewing and validating engineering data, performing design checks, and supporting design changes and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will also provide technical input to design reviews, document design decisions, and coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineering stakeholders to integrate airframe components and systems effectively.
Qualifications
• Strong background in Design Engineering and Product Design, with experience leading complex airframe or structural design projects.
• Applied Mechanical Engineering skills related to structural analysis concepts, materials selection, and manufacturability considerations.
• Advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preferably Siemens NX, for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawing creation.
• Familiarity with Electrical Engineering interfaces and integration of electrical systems within airframe structures is beneficial.
