Tile Render Brief - Zō Atelier is developing a premium American mahjong tile system centered on refined materiality, minimal visual language, and elevated tactile experience. I have a detailed document that outlines the 3D CAD specifications required to supply to prototype partners.
Initially I have a batch of 10 designs that I need rendered. If I find the right modeling partner I'd like to continue with that designer for the remaining 30 designs for the complete set as well as all relevant mahjong accessories to complete the series.
The files needed for this prototype phase is to correctly capture:
- tile dimensions
- inlay precision
- inlay depth
- edge rounding
- production ready CAD files
These files will inform prototype production as well as final production standards and manufacture ready files. I will need varying inlay depths to have the right files depending on the prototype material executions.
