The Pump Designer is responsible for the design, selection, engineering, and development of centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, booster systems, firefighting pumps, and related rotating equipment. The role includes preparation of technical drawings, hydraulic calculations, manufacturing coordination, reverse engineering, and support for testing & commissioning activities in compliance with international standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop pump systems and rotating equipment as per client and project requirements.
Prepare GA drawings, sectional drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings using CAD software.
Perform pump selection, hydraulic calculations, performance analysis, and material selection.
Develop BOMs (Bill of Materials), technical datasheets, and manufacturing documentation.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality departments during manufacturing and assembly stages.
Conduct reverse engineering of pumps, impellers, shafts, casings, and mechanical components.
Review customer specifications, RFQs, and tender documents.
Support testing, inspection, troubleshooting, retrofit works, and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with API, ISO, ANSI, Hydraulic Institute, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and international engineering standards.
Provide technical support for maintenance, repair, and performance improvement projects.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in pump design or rotating equipment engineering.
Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, firefighting pumps, and booster systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar design software.
Knowledge of hydraulic calculations, material selection, and mechanical seals/bearings.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, casting, machining, and fabrication.
Experience in reverse engineering and retrofit solutions is preferred.
Knowledge of Saudi Aramco/SABIC standards is an advantage.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
