Custom Bottle Cap Design for Injection Molding — 3D CAD Model Needed
I'm looking for an experienced product/industrial designer to create a 3D CAD model of a custom bottle cap for a stainless steel water bottle.
The bottle body already exists — I have exact dimensions from the factory. I also have a reference cap that I like the design language of, but it needs to be redesigned: smaller, rounder profile to match the bottle body, and a different internal mouthpiece layout.
The cap has 4 separate injection-molded components:
- Cap body
- Button
- Rotatable handle
- Flip lid
Key dimensions:
- ~60mm diameter base
- ~55mm total height (lid closed)
The factory has an in-house DFM team that will handle final tolerancing and mold-readiness, so I need a clean design-intent model — not full production files.
What I need from you:
- 2-3 concept directions (sketch or quick 3D) before we commit to one
- One refined 3D CAD model of the chosen direction
- STEP/IGES file delivery
- Built in SolidWorks or Fusion 360
- Willingness to collaborate via live screen-share sessions for real-time feedback
I'll provide:
