About the job
We’re looking for an experienced piping drafter for ongoing freelance work:
Scope includes:
Reading and Interpreting Existing Process Piping Construction Drawings
Creating Isometric Piping Drawings (SpoolCAD) *Primary*
Creating Sectional Piping Drawings (AutoCAD) *Secondary*
Creating Fabrication-ready spool drawings
Dimensioning for shop use
BOM Lists and Weld Lists
Requirements:
Experience with process piping / fabrication drawings
Strong understanding of:
pipe welding, pipe fittings, spool breakdowns
real-world buildability (this is critical)
AutoCAD required (SpoolCAD experience is a bonus, not required)
Work volume:
First Week will be a heavier workload to catch up with projects (20-25 hours)
Typically around 4 hours/week after that
Possibility for work up to 20 hours/week depending on project load
