Roles & Responsibilities
Interpret and convert survey and topographic data into engineering CAD drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Create and manage CAD-based topographical maps, base maps, terrain models, and thematic layers using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
Demonstrate strong AutoCAD / Civil 3D fundamentals to complement Carlson workflows, including surface and contour generation.
Import/export shapefiles, DEMs, and integrate GIS layers into design models.
Collaborate closely with civil engineers, highway designers, and planners to integrate survey data with design models.
Develop, maintain, and analyze spatial datasets including roads, utilities, parcels, drainage systems, and contours.
Perform terrain modeling, surface creation, and corridor modeling using OpenRoads Designer or Civil 3D.
Manage and georeference raster imagery, LiDAR data, drone data, and survey files.
Support preparation of as-built drawings, alignment sheets, right-of-way (ROW) plans, and land acquisition plans.
Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards and client requirements.
Coordinate with field survey teams, civil designers, and GIS analysts to ensure timely project delivery.
Assist in automation of workflows and data conversion between CAD and BIM environments.
Education & Experience
