About the job
Scope includes:
Review current 3D CAD / STEP files
Perform full DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis
Optimize parts for injection molding
Reduce tooling complexity and cost
Improve wall thickness consistency, draft angles, ribs, bosses, snaps, fitment etc.
Suggest best gate/ejection/cooling strategy
Eliminate warping, sink marks, flash, deformation issues
Improve cosmetic finish (glossy white visible parts)
Ensure dimensional tolerance and repeatability
Prepare files ready for mold maker production
Parts are medium-size plastic components, some for water-contact environment. PVC / ABS / engineering plastic knowledge preferred.
Must have strong experience in:
Injection molded product design
Tooling / mold design knowledge
SolidWorks / Creo / NX / equivalent
DFM reports
Production scaling
Bonus if experienced in portable equipment, pumps, filtration systems, consumer products, outdoor plastic products.
