Role: Senior Engineer-Design and R&D

Role Definition

Senior Engineer-Design and R&;D is one who handles complete
development of new products by designing and proto type
manufacturing in R & D department of the company.

Responsibility
Deliverable

1) Design and development of new products in shortest
possible time.
2) Developing quality control equipment’s for testing new
product development
3) development of process, system & structure for R & D
function of the company.
4) Development of vendors for proto type manufacturing

Tasks &
Activities

1) Making 2D and 3D drawings of conceptual fixtures,
products
2) Making drawings of pattern, casting, finished component,
assembly etc
3) Reverse engineering of products
4) Preparation of bill of material
5) Development of vendors for proto type manufacturing
6) Planning the material required for proto type
7) Creation of user manual and maintenance manual
8) Creation of product layouts for catalog printing
9) Training junior design engineers
10) Preparing strategic goals, tactical goals and daily
goals of R & D department.
11) Preparing PPT presentation on R & D department
and presenting it to management and the board
12) Taking DAP approvals from customer or
management

1) Number of drawings made per month

5) FMS , PMS, Check list score
