We need a part-time CAD engineer to support ongoing design work for enclosed steel equipment. The work involves taking basic drawings from our overseas manufacturer and converting them into complete 3D models and fabrication-ready documents for production in the United States. This includes modeling welded shells, door systems, window assemblies, machined tracks, and structural frames.
The engineer must be proficient in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor and comfortable producing weldment drawings, flat patterns, CNC files, and exploded assemblies. Experience with pressure-vessel or airtight enclosure design is important. The ideal candidate works remotely and provides regular updates and source files throughout the project.
