About the job
We’re looking for an experienced soft-goods designer to help develop a set of patent-ready visual materials for a human-worn dog-walking chest rig harness. This is not a full production development job. We only need clean, accurate concept visuals that support our patent attorney and early prototype planning.
Scope (Patent Prep Stage Only):
Front / side / rear orthographic sketches
Clean vector linework (AI/SVG)
Basic soft-goods construction notes
Simple 2D strap + panel layout
Optional: light 3D mockup (not full engineering CAD)
What We Do Not Need:
Full engineering CAD
Mechanical design
Exploded assemblies
Production-ready manufacturing files
Advanced 3D modelling
Complete tech pack for factories
Prototyping or material sourcing
Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in soft-goods: backpacks, harnesses, outdoor gear, tactical wear, pet gear
Skilled in Illustrator + 2D technical drawing
Comfortable producing clean, patent-friendly visuals
Understands strapping, padding, panel layouts, and ergonomics
Can work fast, communicate clearly, and iterate visually without over-engineering
