About the job
We are developing an innovative footwear concept under our brand Chiqsol. The design requires a modular sole system with explicit components and a snap-fit locking mechanism.
We are seeking a skilled mechanical/product design engineer with experience in plastic part design, snap-fit/locking systems, and mold-ready CAD models.
The project requires:
1. Detailed 2D technical drawings for:
• Outsole
• Midsole
• Insole
• Strap groove mechanism
2. 3D CAD models (SolidWorks / CATIA / AutoCAD / Fusion 360) with:
• Explicit detailing of snap-fit grooves and locking mechanism
• Proper tolerance and fit considerations for mold manufacturing
• Assembly visualization of all components
3. Deliverables:
• Manufacturing-ready files for mold creation (STEP/IGES/SolidWorks formats preferred)
• Exploded view for manufacturer reference
Requirements:
• Prior experience in plastic product design and snap-fit part engineering
• Knowledge of mold manufacturing constraints
• Ability to deliver accurate 2D + 3D drawings that can be used directly for prototyping and tooling
• Experience in footwear or consumer product design is a plus
