About the job
Hi, I'm Jeff. I'm building Vector, an add-in for SOLIDWORKS that helps with CAD tasks in your normal workflow.
I'm looking for people who already use SOLIDWORKS to try it for a paid 10-minute test. I'd like honest feedback on a small CAD task: what helps, what is confusing and where it gets stuck.
Pay: $10 USD per tester for one 10-minute session, including setup, a screenshot and brief feedback. The test is asynchronous; no call or recording is needed.
During the 10 minutes:
1. Install Vector on your Windows computer. We'll provide access at no cost. You should already have SOLIDWORKS installed.
2. Use any non-confidential SOLIDWORKS part or assembly of your own and try whatever part of your normal workflow is useful, such as changing a dimension, editing a feature or troubleshooting a modeling error. We won't provide a model or prescribed task.
3. Send a screenshot showing Vector running alongside SOLIDWORKS and a few brief notes on what you tried, what was useful and anything confusing or broken.
After hiring, we'll share the download and tester Discord links. Join the other testers there, report bugs and feedback in #feedback, and suggest features in #feature-requests. Send your screenshot, short notes and Discord username through Cad Crowd too. Payment stays on Cad Crowd.
To apply, just tell us in one sentence what you use SOLIDWORKS for and confirm you have it installed on Windows. No portfolio, detailed proposal or test work is needed to apply.

This is a one-time session to complete within the next two weeks at a mutually agreed time. Once hired, you'll be paid for the agreed session even if setup or Vector fails or your feedback is negative. If something blocks the test, send the error or describe what happened. No public review or promotional post is required.
Vector is free to keep using indefinitely; continued use and further testing are optional.
Thanks!
