About the job
I am looking for an experienced CAD designer to create a cosmetic packaging shape based on the attached reference photo. No existing CAD file will be provided.
The goal is to reproduce the reference design as closely as possible, adapting its dimensions for a target capacity of 150 ml rather than the 200 ml shown in the photo.
Design requirements:
• Match the overall silhouette and proportions of the reference, with more pronounced grooves.
• Provide a solid volume representing the external shape. A hollow shell is not required.
• Size the body for an approximate internal capacity of 150 ml, allowing for a nominal wall thickness of 0.3 mm.
• The body must transition to a circular cross-section with an outside diameter of 35.5 mm at the junction with the cap.
• I will design the detailed neck and cap geometry myself; these are outside your scope.
• All grooves must start near the cap on a common small-diameter circle, with identical starting geometry and equal spacing around the full circumference.
• The grooves must progressively fan upward and outward as the body widens.
• Maintain perfect front/back and left/right symmetry, without twisting.
• Ensure smooth surface transitions throughout the design.
• Branding, text and label artwork are not required.
Deliverables:
• Final model in STEP format, as a clean, watertight CAD solid.
• Front, side and perspective previews for review.
• Overall dimensions and an explanation of how the approximate 150 ml capac...

• Overall dimensions and an explanation of how the approximate 150 ml capacity was estimated.
Review and revisions:
Please submit an initial proposal showing the overall shape, dimensions and groove arrangement for review before finalizing the model.
I would like to be able to request modifications to the shape, proportions and grooves before final approval. Please include revision rounds in your quotation and clearly state how many are included.
Further projects:
We have other packaging design projects planned and are looking for a designer we can work with on an ongoing basis.
Please provide your fixed-price quotation, estimated turnaround time and examples of relevant packaging or surface modeling work.
