We are seeking an expert Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer for a paid, fixed-scope project to support an international client based in Sweden who is expanding their manufacturing operations in India. The primary objective is to integrate an electric vehicle (EV) powertrain into an existing motorcycle frame, ensuring the assembly is completely ready for physical prototyping, fabrication, and final manufacturing stages.
Key Job Goals & Deliverables:Component Mounting & Integration: Design structural battery mounting and integration setups onto the existing motorcycle chassis. Develop robust motor mounting brackets, arrangements, and a suitable controller mounting solution.Spatial Validation: Rigorously verify component clearances, physical alignment, interference, and overall vehicle weight distribution.3D Modeling & Production Drawings: Develop accurate, high-fidelity 3D CAD models and complete powertrain packaging assemblies. Prepare highly detailed 2D manufacturing/fabrication drawings.Manufacturing Specifications: Define exact material selections, sheet metal thicknesses, dimensions, hole layouts, bend radii, and weld locations.Prototyping Iterations: Apply strict Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Serviceability (DFMA) principles.
