About the job
We are a scale manufacturing startup building an industrial washdown weighing scale for fruit/vegetable packing houses, and we need a mechanical designer to produce a complete, manufacturing-ready design.

SCOPE OF WORK
1. Terminal enclosure — stainless steel (304/316), sealed to IP69K washdown standard, housing a touch display (~7–10"), controller board, and an LED traffic-light indicator strip (red/yellow/green). Hygienic design: sloped/rounded surfaces, no water traps, welded seams where possible.
2. Weighing platform assembly — stainless steel platter in two sizes (300×400 mm and 200×300 mm), mounted on a single-point load cell (off-the-shelf, e.g. 15/30 kg), with sealed load cell housing and overload protection.
3. Stand/column — stainless tube stand connecting platform base and terminal, in 2–3 height variants (bench and floor), with cable routing internal to the column and IP-rated cable glands.
4. Design for fabrication in a standard sheet-metal workshop (laser cut + bend + TIG weld); prefer off-the-shelf hardware.
DELIVERABLES
- Full 3D CAD — native SolidWorks (or agreed equivalent) + STEP
- 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances (PDF + DWG)
- Sheet-metal flat patterns (DXF) ready for laser cutting
