I am looking for an experienced 3D CAD designer to develop a custom enclosure for an electronic device.
The enclosure should be designed from scratch based on reference images, dimensions, and the internal electronic components that need to fit inside.
The project includes the external housing, internal component placement, openings for connectors/buttons, ventilation or sound openings where needed, and proper assembly between the different parts.
The final design should be suitable for 3D printing and easy to modify if adjustments are needed after the first prototype.
Main Requirements
Experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
Experience designing functional electronic enclosures
Knowledge of tolerances and fit for 3D printing
Ability to create parts that assemble cleanly
Fast turnaround preferred
Deliverables
Editable CAD files
STEP file
STL files ready for 3D printing
Individual enclosure parts
Complete assembled model
One or more revision rounds after prototype testing
Approximate size
Around 120 mm in diameter.
Project stage
I already have reference models, measurements, images, and the electronic components that will be installed inside. These materials will be provided to the selected designer.
Important
The enclosure should be modeled properly as an editable CAD project, not only as a modified STL mesh.
Timeline
Preferably a first version within a few days.
