About the job
Stau Labs Pvt. Ltd. is building next-generation autonomous electric mobility solutions and is looking for a talented freelance Automotive/Product Designer to take our autonomous vehicle concept from idea → 3D design → detailed component design → production-ready documentation.
Exterior Design: Overall vehicle styling and proportions; front, rear and side body design; bumpers, lights, doors, windows and body panels; sensor/LiDAR/camera integration and mounting areas; wheels, wheel arches and other exterior components.
Interior Design: Passenger seating and layout; dashboard and control areas; interior panels and trims; display and UI mounting; safety and accessibility considerations.
Component & Part-Level Design: Vehicle body components; brackets and mounts; sensor housings and enclosures; mechanical assemblies; custom prototype parts; design for manufacturability and assembly.
3D CAD & Engineering Design: Detailed 3D CAD modelling and assembly design; 2D manufacturing drawings; dimensions, tolerances and material specifications; exploded views and BOM preparation; prototype-ready design files.
Ideal candidate has experience in: Automotive/EV/mobility product design; autonomous vehicle or robotics design; industrial/product design; mechanical CAD modelling; prototype development; DFM; working with fabrication and manufacturing teams.
Preferred tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, Creo, or equivalent.
