## Scope of Work
The selected engineer will be responsible for:
### 1. Physical Product Reverse Engineering
* Inspect and disassemble the provided production sample as required
* Measure overall and component-level geometry
* Identify all individual components and their interfaces
* Determine dimensions, radii, angles, thicknesses, hole/slot geometry and other relevant features
* Identify fastening and assembly methods
* Identify critical mating/fit dimensions
* Coordinate 3D scanning/CMM measurement if necessary

* Identify fastening and assembly methods
* Identify critical mating/fit dimensions
* Coordinate 3D scanning/CMM measurement if necessary
Please indicate whether you have your own measurement/scanning capabilities or would require us to arrange external metrology services.
### 2. Complete 3D CAD Model
Create:
* Individual 3D CAD models for all custom components
* Complete parametric 3D assembly
* Accurate mating/positioning of components
* Exploded assembly
* STEP export
* Native editable CAD source files
SolidWorks, CATIA or Siemens NX experience is preferred.
### 3. Assembly / General Arrangement Drawing
Produce a detailed assembly drawing showing, as applicable:
* Front, side, top and other required views

### 4. Individual Component Drawings
Produce detailed drawings for all relevant custom components, including:
* Molded plastic parts
* Rubber feet/pads
* Reflective/material components
* Metal parts
* Hinges/pivots/joints
* Pins and similar hardware
* Labels/markings
* Other custom components
Each drawing should contain sufficient engineering information to fully define the component.
### 5. Fasteners & Assembly Details
All screws, bolts, nuts and other fasteners must be properly identified and specified, including where applicable:
* Fastener type
* Diameter
* Length
* Thread specification/pitch
* Head type
* Material/finish
* Quantity
* Installation/interface details
Relevant sections should show how components are mechanically joined and fitted together.
### 6. Dimensions, Tolerances & GD&T
The engineer should apply professional engineering judgment to define:
* Complete dimensional information
* General tolerances
* Critical dimensional tolerances
* GD&T where appropriate
* Datums where appropriate
* Fit/clearance requirements
* Mating/interface dimensions
* Critical assembly dimensions
The objective is not merely to report measured dimensions but to convert the physical product into a properly defined engineering design.
### 7. Bill of Materials
Prepare a complete BOM containing, where applicable:
* Item number
* Component/part name
* Quantity
* Part identification
* Material
* Size/specification
* Mass
* Color

* Rubber/elastomer materials
* Metal materials
* Reflective/material components
* Surface treatments
* Colors
* Component mass
* Product mass
Where exact material composition or properties cannot be determined from physical examination, clearly identify what additional material/laboratory testing would be necessary rather than making assumptions.
### 9. Engineering / Compliance Notes
The drawing package should provide appropriate locations and engineering notes for applicable:
