Industrial Designer – Premium Sculptural Home Object / Organic CAD Surfacing Anyone
About the job
I am developing a premium sculptural home object and need an experienced industrial/product designer to translate an already-developed visual direction into high-quality, prototype-ready 3D CAD.
This is not an open concept-design exercise. The core form and interaction are already developed. I need someone with excellent aesthetic judgement who can translate and subtly refine the existing direction rather than redesign it.
The object is approximately 165 × 110 mm and relies heavily on subtle asymmetry, continuous organic curvature, proportion and premium surface quality.
I am specifically looking for someone experienced in:
• Organic / Class-A style surfacing
• Premium consumer products, homeware, furniture, lighting or luxury objects
• Rhino, Alias, NX, SolidWorks surfacing or equivalent
• Prototype-ready CAD and physical product development
• Excellent aesthetic judgement and restraint
Australian designers are strongly preferred, ideally with experience working with Australian prototyping suppliers.
The initial scope is to develop one master CAD form, review and refine it with me, and then prepare it for physical prototyping.
Please provide your portfolio and examples of relevant organic/sculptural product work. I want to review and approve the designer before proceeding with the detailed private brief.
