Mechanical CAD drafting expert for full-time position (onsite or remote job) Ended

This position takes the design from a plan view and specification (by others) to elevations and section views for custom fabrication and food service conveyors. Our 3D team will use these approval drawings to build the Inventor Model. Examples of what these drawings look like are attached below. What we need from good candidates is to be willing to communicate with our head of engineering, understand deadlines, and have a willingness to grow. Candidates can also get into Inventor if interested, but it's not required.

We're looking for a qualified candidate to join our engineering department full-time. The position can be remote/onsite, depending on your skills and experience with manufacturing. The work will begin with a few trial projects and then transition to a full-time position with our company.

We are a St. Louis-based manufacturer of custom commercial stainless-steel food service equipment. We fabricate custom food service equipment and food service conveyors. Responsibilities
-Develop 3D models.
-Create detailed drawings.
-Work in a team environment.
-Ensure specifications and requirements are met.
-Ensure product dimensions meet overalls to fit field locations.
-Ensure parts developed can be created with tooling used in a manufacturing environment.
-Revise and correct any modeling that needs to be for future use.
-Organize, complete, and maintain files/paperwork for project production.
-Communicate effectively to team members and others using Microsoft Suite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
-Capable of using CAD to read and develop technical drawings.
-Understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) and use it effectively and efficiently.

Salary & compensation
Either job is full-time employment with a comprehensive benefits package that includes [health insurance, vacation time, retirement plan, etc.]. You would work with our head of Engineering for all jobs and report to him.

We are willing to work with candidates remotely if candidates have the necessary skills to be timely and effective offsite. Examples of past sheet metal work would be helpful. We can also work together on a test project to understand capabilities.

Otherwise, if we're training, we will need onsite training at our St. Louis, MO offices. read less
